Salary: £31,000
Location: London
Hours: Full‑time, 35 hours per week
Contract: Permanent

A well‑established charitable organisation in the cultural/heritage sector is seeking a proactive Membership Officer to join their busy Marketing & Audience Development team. This is a key role responsible for growing membership numbers, enhancing engagement and ensuring excellent member care.

Role Overview

• Process new memberships, renewals, Direct Debits and Gift Aid claims
• Maintain accurate membership data within Raiser’s Edge NXT
• Support and advise onsite teams to maximise membership sales
• Assist with the creation and delivery of membership campaigns
• Lead on day‑to‑day member communications and updates
• Support events, stewarding and audience engagement activity
• Work cross‑departmentally to deliver membership benefits and insights

Person Requirements

Essential:

• Experience in membership within a charity, cultural or arts environment
• Strong working knowledge of CRM
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Understanding of GDPR and Gift Aid
• Confident with Microsoft Office and digital tools

Desirable:

• Volunteer supervision
• Raiser’s Edge NXT
• Copywriting experience
• Experience in value‑led organisations
